*sigh* Its Sunday, where did the weekend go? In fact, where did the month go? I can not believe that its almost Holiday time!
This week I recieved 2 spectacular pieces in the mail...the first piece....
my "Work-Spouse" took one look at it and named it "Sunrise Martini", I loved it, and so the name stuck. Its sooo beautiful and pops, this dress is one of a kind and spectacular.
The next dress was just simply Glam, so thats what we decided to name this little number:
lol These pieces are like my babies, so of course one of the most exciting part is naming them. Both pieces are available for $45, the quality is amazing, the fabric is thick and will fit your body like a glove. Both pieces compliment your curves.
In othe news...I have a 3 year old...my body is lovely, if I do say so myself, lol but its not as hot as it was before pre-baby...I mean I am 29, not the young tender I was while I was in college. The dresses fit me well and I have been working out, but I will also be trying something new. So call me a little behind the crowd, but I'm going to get myself a pair of spanx for christmas, everyone says they make a big difference. I can't wait to take before and after pictures and I'll post them. :)
Went out for a night on the town recently, I needed a little "Edge" and I was feeling a little bossy like a "Dominatrix" and a bit "Vain" because you know I'm "Fancy" right?
In other words, my whole outfit was from the IV boutique...The Edge skirt, The Dominatrix belt, the Vain shirt, and the Fancy Handbag...I got many compliments and was quite pleased...
First I went out to dinner and then I went out to a nice little lounge spot.
The lady in dots is my best friend, I borrowed her leg because I needed a resting spot for my arm... :) Jking, but as you can see, we had a blast...
Yaaaaaayyyyy! My business cards came in today, and I was sooo excited that I had to share...instead of waiting to get my hands on my digital camera, I took the pics on my phone...
I hope you like. I chose this design because I feel like lace personifies all that Intoxicating Vixen is about...sophisticated, feminine, sexy and of course intoxicating. I hope you enjoy the design and I can't wait to pass these beauties out.
Oh yes...and I'm officially "Fine-Twenty Nine"...it feels great...can't wait to be "Dirty-Flirty Thirty"...on second thought...I can wait.
Today is my LAST day of being 28...and tommorrow will mark the last year of my 20's...I'm not going to lie...I'm a bit sad about it...where did the time go?
Unfortunately, my "ganny" (grandmother) passed away recently and that put a halt on everything. I was extremely close to her and I just needed some time to get myself together. She was a Vixen in her own right, she didn't care about the cost of a piece of clothing, if it made her look and feel good, she had to have it. She had been a fan of boutiques since I was a little girl, always stating that she preferred shopping at boutiques because the pieces were more exclusive and my Ganny HAD to stand out, she was a stylish snobby Libra :D . When I told her that I was opening a boutique she took quite an interest in it, she was proud and excited. When I recieved my first dress, I ran to her house and tried it on, she loved the piece and gave me honest feedback. To say I miss her, is an understatement. I'm still mourning and going through the motions of not being able to have her in my life physically, but sometimes feeling her spirit and the words she left with me is comforting enough.
With that being said, I'm back to it, November aka Scorpio Season (if you couldnt tell, I am a proud Scorp) will be an exciting time for IV. I've ordered my business cards today, and I am extremely excited, they are extra cute. Hint: Lace will be the reoccuring theme for IV...

This is my ganny when she was around my age...as you can see, she was extra fly, this was in the 1950's, lol off the shoulder dress and open toe shoes, does it get any flyer than that for that time-frame? Nails done, hair done, everything did, she was fancy huh????
lol And lastly...my natural hair tutorials...I'm actually relaxed now, but I miss my wild hair...it'll be back one day, anyways, I shared the tutorial with one of my facebook friends, figured I would share with you guys too...

My lovely best friend wore the Mocha edition of the dress her birthday and submitted pictures to become the Fashion Bombshell of the day...and...she made it...
Just a few minutes ago, I recieved my first order of dresses...I cant wait to post them up on the site, these are the dresses that I have been eyeing for a while. I will be ordering my next set of dresses this friday..Everytime I get a package for my boutique, its like christmas for me.
This weekend, my lovely friend let me borrow her talents for a "mini-shoot" with my digital camera. Chimebere Iruka is a makeup artist who is like no other, she has the ability to transform any face into a masterpiece...and she's a perfectionist. Later on I will post some of the pics from the shoot, she really captured the pieces nicely as she was my "photographer" as well.
I just wanted to share my excitement about whats been going on with Intoxicating Vixen, there has been so much going on these past couple of days, I couldn't be more happier.
I finally ordered one of the dresses that I have been eying for a while, I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. I can't wait for this dress to debut on the site which will probaly be sometime this week or next week
My third order will be happening very shortly, a little preview...a ultra femme cocktail dress....stay tuned...
My very first shipment was supposed to come Friday...I was sooooo excited. I logged on to the UPS site, and found my package in "Exception" status, which mean the shipping was delayed until Monday. Out of the 365 days of the year, there was a power outage early in the AM at the UPS site my package was being held at...however, that did not stop my fun...I have uploaded the first shipment of products on to my site.
The first shipment included a couple of belts and accessories. I am looking forward to my next few shipments which will include dresses and handbags. ALSO I must say, I have an extra special complimentary gift for my customers that I'll be ordering soon as well. I cant wait to get them, they are sooooo cute and is of use to every Intoxicating Vixen out there.
It is my great pleasure to announce that "Intoxicating Vixen" has now morphed into a boutique. Which will be selling accessories, clothing, handbags and more. I have found that I enjoy picking out pieces that personify everything that an "Intoxicating Vixen" is and I want to nurture that. I've made my first order of items today and they will be appearing on the site very shortly. The first shipment includes HOT belts, beauitful earrings and necklaces. I can not wait to place them on my site. The next shipment will include some dresses that I have been eying for a while.

One of the things I enjoy doing the most is naming my pieces...its personifies them...it gives them a certain energy that you can feel.
I came across some (silver) Tibetan chain and Tibetan moon charms that I had to use. The detailing caught my eyes and I knew I could make something amazing with them.
I've always been infactuated with the moon. No matter what stage Luna is in, when you look up at her, you can tell she is the Goddess of the night. In complete darkness, she will still be seen and admired....so as you can tell, I was absolutly excited to get my hands on these moon charms.
Its a one piece earring. For the one piece I looped copper and silver chain. I added the moon charms to the end of the Tibetan chain and added that one piece to one side of the earring. I opted out of adding the Tibetan chain to both sides because I felt that would take away from it being the center piece. This piece was truly about the Tibetan charms and I wanted that to be clear.
I was simply delighted the night that I wore this piece, I recieved quite a few compliments and inquiries about it. I have included 3 pictures, one picture is of that event that I wore it to (I am on the left)...the second and third picture is me wearing it at home.
I hope you enjoyed and I will definitly utilize the Tibetan chains and moon charms in future pieces as well, I love them soo much.

So a close friend of mine makes custom made invitations and greeting cards...I enjoy her work because she puts ALOT of thought and effort into her product and it shows. If you'd like to check out her work, go here:
Of course, she will be featured in a later post...One of her card ideas consisted of a Peacock theme. She orders some feathers and gives me 2 and says "I want some peacock earrings, do something with these"...she's soooo bossy btw...Here was the outcome:
With these, I chose beading that had an Arabian color theme in order to compliment the colors of the feathers. I wanted to add a touch of royalty to this piece because I feel every woman is a Queen in her own merit, so I added the Nefertiti trinkets looking in opposite directions. I also added a bit of copper chain to add a little more character into the color scheme.
My client absolutly loved the piece...the only disclaimer I do have is that they can not be worn in the rain or while working out (sweat) because the feathers will change form if they become wet.

Here is a picture of one of the first pieces I've done, I call it "Heat"...the night I wore this piece at an event...I felt like a flame just giving off extreme hotness...everyone loved it. It consists of a silver chain, a black chain red swarvoski crystals and black beading blended together to make you a Flaming Vixen...I'm on the left wearing the piece...
The beautiful young lady by myside...my right hand...is my best friend, an extraordinary make up artist...AKURI. She will be featured on here in the future.
